STEPHEN GREENE, CFA, MANAGING DIRECTOR

Welcome. I am a hands-on senior executive who acts for shareholders and fund investors: restoring shareholder-aligned governance, driving the changes that rebuild value, and managing non-performing and illiquid holdings through to realisation.

I have held board mandates as Shareholder Representative Director and Non-Executive Director on behalf of minority, majority and controlling shareholders, from appointment through to completed exit. This experience includes AIM-quoted companies, a PRA-regulated bank and private operating companies in finance, technology and games publishing. The holdings realised include two in quoted companies, sold in full in two of the largest percentage sell-downs executed on behalf of a shareholder in a quoted company, and the holding of the financial backer of a management buy-out of a major international trust business.

Before that I ran the operating side of complex businesses and invested on behalf of institutions: COO for Trading at one of Europe’s largest multi-strategy hedge funds, where I founded a bespoke structuring business and co-founded one of the first institutional FinTech investment teams in Europe, subsequently listed on AIM; Managing Director of a UCL spin-out and one of Europe's first major artificial intelligence start-ups, later acquired by a global marketing group; founder and chief executive of an global FCA-authorised capital raising and advisory firm, built from inception until exit; and, earlier, Global Head of Hedge Fund Research at a global investment bank and Chief Investment Officer, Alternative Investments at an independent asset manager.
